"Brabander" was built in 1977 at the Dricon shipyard, launched in 1979, rigged by Spencer Dockyard, Isle of Wight. The elegant hull of the tallship has a tapered bow decorated with painted ports and an almost flat ower stern (transom board).The topsail schooner provides accommodation for 13 guests in 6 highly luxurious cabins.

In 2006 "Brabander" was bought by Klaipeda University and is used for scientific research projects and sail training.
